Just admit it. Ron "The Real Deal" Steele is a loser. He loses all the time, to everyone, at nearly every opportunity. Any point where it looks like he might win, he fails. He will walk into every fight thinking he will win. His win/loss record speaks for itself.
It was a conflux of oddities that got Ron into the Main Event on Insert PPV Name Here (No, seriously, that was the PPV's name), and it was Vengeance who 'helped' Ron get the AAW title. In all Ron's career, he had never held a belt in any federation he worked for until now. With a career defining match and win at Eternal Rival against the former eight-time World Champion Vengeance, Ron's losing times may finally be at an end.
Outside the Ring
No matter the name or moniker, Ron Steele is a totally different thing on screen than he is off screen. By all accounts, he's a star-maker. He is the "Ultimate Talent Enhancement", a team player and genuinely excited about the people he helps progress.

He can get into a fight with any foe, and whatever image they're trying to push out, Ron will make look EXCELLENT. Are you that hardcore guy with all the weapon shots and roughneck moves? Ron can 'take you to your limit' and make you look good while doing it, and doing it safely. Are you that high flyer that does all the flippy stuff? Ron can catch you and take the bumps needed to make you look like a shooting star. Are you a big guy who needs to 'learn how to beat the flippy crap'? Ron is surprisingly good at that stuff, and can teach you how to do the things he can.

Backstage, Ron's entire career has been based on making his allies and foes look amazing. He's been involved in a number of highly rated feuds, despite his loss record. When his former tag partner Eddie Law (Now known as Marcus Smart) betrayed him in a previous federation, it catapulted Eddie to stardom. When Raptor (a fellow AAW wrestler) was betrayed by Ron due to on screen jealousy, his battle screech and high-flying style took off, even getting him a title shot!

He sought to give others the spotlight, as his giving nature backstage to new talent or old is one of his defining qualities (and explains why he's not been fired yet).

Now, trapped in the spotlight he usually hands to others, Ron is desperately trying behind to scenes to give the belt to someone else so he can get back to doing what he loves. He loves building the Wrestling Business and its talent. He is mortified that, while holding the belt, all he's doing is grinding other people down.

How long will Ron "The Real Deal" Steele be the champ? Probably as long as it puts asses in the seats. Lamentably, this may be too long for Ron's taste.
