If you're a wrestling fan and attending Cal Poly SLO, you try to make it out to Ace Alley shows -- it's what you do. If you're a Cal Poly student who likes to get away from campus, sometimes you hide out in the Starbucks off Higuera and make frequent ill-advised trips to Powell's Sweet Shoppe -- it's also what you do.

What's uncommon, however, is realizing that someone is awkwardly standing over your shoulder watching you work on an editing project for your Mass Communication major, then turning around and even more awkwardly realizing that it's Dale Mason Haggerty of Ace Alley Wrestling. And that she's on a tight budget, and happened to see you working, and would you like to stop by the office sometime to see what they do and help an independent organization?

What's exceptionally uncommon is signing on to fill more hats than you thought you'd ever have time for, watching the little company make a deal with a national satellite television provider, and then being told that the new broadcast format would need a backstage and sideline reporter, a.k.a....you.
