Anita comes out first, to a generally positive pop -- her diehard fans loudest of all, but the newcomers still uncertain of her. She hits the ring with her usual acrobatic entrance, runs the ropes a little bit, and waits for her opponent.

Newcomer Cris Kaoss’s music hits; there’s some silence at first, but the crowd gives him some desultory clapping once he appears. This is our first look at the developmental talent, and at first glance he seems agile, at least, though the costume -- shredded black cargo pants, a bandana to match, sunglasses -- doesn’t convey much personality.

The bell rings -- Kaoss hasn’t taken off his bandana or shades. He and Anita circle, Kaoss finally takes the bait and even lands a couple stiff hands before Anita catches him with a Japanese arm-drag into a springboard moonsault for a one-count. Kaoss’s bandana and shades are still on.

Anita gives the rising Kaoss a Penalty Kick and a springboard cross-body, but Kaoss stands with impressive speed and turns it into a fallaway slam. Anita kicks out of a weird-looking bridging pin but before she can get to her feet, Kaoss grabs her and hits a fisherman suplex followed by a double-foot stomp. Anita’s stunned; Kaoss kneels like he’s about to go for a pin but drags her up for a scoop slam instead. He looks down at Anita with a horrible grin, grabs her by the neck, and hauls a struggling Anita up into an implant DDT! He watches her again, and after he’s sure she’s not getting up, he hooks the leg for a pin and the two-count. Well I guess we know his alignment now...

Boos come at Kaoss as he kicks Anita in the face and hauls her up over his shoulder. He chuckles in a memorably nasty way (listen to audio when you get a chance), but Anita slips free and gives him Don’t Tell Me to Smile when he turns around, to a massive pop from the front rows.

Anita runs the ropes, hits the turnbuckle, but Kaoss gets there at the same time she does (sweet cuppin’ cakes is he fast…). He tries to set Anita up for a superplex, but she does a handstand on the second turnbuckle and TWISTING FRANKENSTEINER! Anita goes for the cover, but Kaoss kicks out at two, bandana and shades still intact!

Anita’s up first, selling the damage to her back. She breathes through it, runs the ropes -- springboard senton, but there’s nobody home, and before she can recover, Kaoss locks in a crossface!

Kaoss laughs at her, louder in time with her screaming; Anita sells the heck out of it, finally wriggling free and grabbing the rope. Kaoss holds on for the four-count, and sets up for a running lariat before walking into a dropkick from Anita, who can’t quite get over to him in time for a pin. Kaoss is up first and delivers a brutal German, before *flipping over her* to get to his feet and nail another. He goes to set up again, Anita rotates around him for a TORNADO DDT! She gets the cover, one, two -- Kaoss kicks out, looking enraged!

Kaoss kicks her leg out from under her and lands a flying knee to her face, once again stalking her rather than go for the pin. Anita stands, ducks a discus elbow, but gets her whip reversed and goes into the ropes, coming back into a backbreaker drop. Kaoss only gets a two-count, but judging by the way Anita rises, the damage is done.

Kaoss and Anita brawl, whip to the ropes by Anita -- Fouettes of Fury lays Kaoss out! Anita charges toward the turnbuckle, signaling for Swan Dive, but freezes up as she starts her ascent, clutching at her back and wincing. She continues her climb, gets to the top rope, but Kaoss charges in with a JUMPING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT?! Applause as he ascends, and drops Anita with a *brutal* superplex. Kaoss lets out that awful laugh again as he hauls her up onto his shoulder, and this time she doesn’t break free. Kaoss plants her with a nasty-looking tilt-a-whirl powerslam backbreaker, and Anita is dead to the world as he goes for the pin. Cris Kaoss is in the Fatal Attraction match. Bandanas and shades: still on.

Tom gets in the ring to start announcing the winner, but the second he finishes saying Kaoss’s name, the heel turns back to the slowly-rising Anita and starts raining down right hands. Anita throws a couple chops and manages to land him flat on his back once, but size and relative lack of injury win out and Anita just turtles up and tries to absorb the onslaught. He’s just picking her up when there’s a flash of light like lightning from the entrance area and Sanguine starts walking down with death in his eyes. Kaoss’s Joker face drops and he bails out of the ring, heading out the back door of the Wayward. Sanguine clambers up into the ring, giving the departing Kaoss the death stare and making the “I’m gonna take your belt” motion over his face, suggesting“I’m gonna take your shades”. Anita, looking both fatigued and annoyed, angrily hobbles out of the arena, Sanguine trailing behind her.
